Terms & Conditions: All bidders are required to register and must be 18 years of age to do so. In order to register, all bidders must show a valid Drivers License or State picture ID and pay a $200.00 registration fee to the Chicago Car Auction (CCA). This $200.00 deposit will be returned if the bidder does not purchase a vehicle.
If you are the successful bidder on a vehicle, your $200.00 registration fee will be applied toward the total cost of the purchased vehicle. Your registration fee will be forfeited if you fail to pay the balance of your total or if you do not proceed with the sale.
Additional Charges: There is an additional $200 Buyers Premium (Fee) and a $55 Documentation Fee for a total of $255 added to the final sale price of your vehicle. This $255 fee will be added to the total cost of Each vehicle you purchase.
Illinois residents are required to pay State Sales Tax (7.75% for Chicago residents and 6.5% for Suburban residents). Some Out of State residents may also be required to pay sales tax, please inquire.
Illinois residents must register their vehicle in the State of Illinois. In order to do so, license and title fees are in addition to all other fees. You can purchase Title and New Plates for $143.00, Title only for $65.00, or Title and Transfer of your Plates for $80.00. If you are Transferring Plates you will need your current State of Illinois license plate registration card. If you do not purchase or transfer plates, you must purchase the title for $65.00. Chicago Car Auction recommends that all customers purchasing vehicles purchase plates from us the day you pay for your vehicle. You will not be able to buy plates anywhere else until the title has been mailed to you.
All vehicles are sold “AS-IS”; Chicago Car Auction Inc. does not guarantee the accuracy of any miles on the vehicle purchased; vehicles are sold with the mileage as “UNKNOWN”. Chicago Car Auction Inc. makes and has made no warranties, stated or implied, including merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
Please let the clerk know of any address changes at the time of registration. There is a $50.00 penalty fee that will be charged if processed paper work has to be reprinted with corrected information. A $20.00 fee will be charged per person if CCA has to change or add a bidder number at the time of sale.
No vehicles may be removed from Chicago Car Auction until payment has been made in full. Payment must be made either by cash or credit card. A convenience fee of 2% applies to all credit card payments.
Vehicles Purchased on Saturday must be paid in full and picked up by Tuesday 1:00 pm. Vehicles Purchased on Wednesday must be paid in full and picked up by Friday 1:00 pm. Any vehicles not paid for in full by this time will result in the forfeiture of your $200.00 registration fee. If arrangements are made in advance to pick up a vehicle later than 1:00 pm, a $25.00 late fee will still be charged.
Inspection of the vehicles for Saturday Auction is permitted at 8:00 am, auction beginning at 9:30 am. Inspection of vehicles for Wednesday's Auction is permitted at 4:30 pm, auction beginning at 6:00 pm. Inspection is not permitted anytime during the Auction.
All Registered bidders will be held responsible for any vehicle damage caused by themselves or by their guests.
The use of cameras at the Chicago Car Auction facilities is strictly prohibited.
Bid Rejection: CCA reserves the right to reject or void bids at any time for any reason. Should a dispute arise regarding a bid, CCA is the single deciding authority with sole and absolute discretion in resolving disputes. Buyers agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CCA from any and all liability arising from decisions made resolving disputes.
I have completely read and understand all Chicago Car Auction's rules. I will abide by these rules as a participant in today’s auction. I understand that I am responsible for any and all vehicles that were purchased under my bidder number today.
